1. Honours Courses :
a. Arts : Bengali, English, Economics, Education, French, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology and Sanskrit.
b. Science : Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science and Environmental Science.
c. Commerce : Accountancy.
Students admitted in different honours level courses (Arts, Science & Commerce) have to take two General subjects from a set of permissible combinations given in the list of combinations : in addition to these, they are also required to study compulsory Bengali or compulsory French, or alternative English and compulsory English for the Part-I examination and Environmental Studies for the Part-III examination.
2. General Courses :
The Morning Section caters exclusively to the General level course in Humanities only. The General courses in Science and Commerce stream are offered in the Day Section.
Students of the General course are required to take three general subjects as per availability and accommodation. In addition, they will have to select two compulsory language papers i.e. compulsory English and one of these three subjects compulsory Bengali, Compulsory French or alternative English for the Part-I examination and Environmental Studies for the Part-III examination.
