Arts: Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Pol. Science, Santhali, Sociology

Science:  Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Zoology


Eligibility Criteria




For HONOURS COURSE a candidate must have obtained :

minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject/related subject in 10+2 level, will be eligible. In case of a student willing to apply for a subject, which he/she didn’t study at 10+2 level, then the candidate(s) obtaining 45% or above marks in aggregate will be eligible to apply. In case of Geology, mathematics marks of H.S will be considered for merit point calculation. Also, the students must have pass mark in other science (chemistry, physics) subjects in H.S. In case of Sociology, sociology/english marks in 10+2 will be considered for merit point calculation.

For GENERAL COURSE a candidate must have obtained :

minimum of Pass marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination.

Students applying for admission with Geology or Mathematics Honours Courses must have Pure Science in their 10+2 level.

Candidates applying for admission with Santali Honours/General Course must have Santali/Bengali/Sanskrit/English as a subject in their 10+2 level and proficiency in Santali Language. Students passed out with Santali fron non-recognised boards/organisation will not be eligible for admission.

The candidates passing various Vocational level courses at the 10+2 level will be considered for admission against not more than 10% of the total intake capacity for any subject in any college under this University. Such students will not be eligible for admission if his/her average percentage score is less than the percentage obtained by the last selected candidate (securing lowest score) passing from any Indian conventional board.

Other than this the applicants must follow the admission guidelines and criteria provided by the SKBU (please follow the link provided in this website). Violation of any one of these criteria will automatically reject the application for admission to the desired courses.
